Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is chiropractic care?

Chiropractic care involves using spinal manipulation, soft tissue mobilizations, and musculoskeletal rehabilitation. The combination of joint manipulation and myofascial release helps reduce pain, improve joint mobility, and promotes better strength and function throughout the body.

  • What should I expect on my first visit?

At MVP Chiropractic, your first visit includes a consultation, a thorough exam, and time to talk about your health goals. If clinically indicated, we will adjust on the first visit. From there, we’ll create a plan that’s right for you.

  • Do you accept insurance?

Yes, our providers Dr. Brandon Bird and Dr. Kaleb Vig are in network with most insurance plans. Upon request, our team can check your coverage and explain your benefits before care begins.

  • How much does a visit cost without insurance?

We offer affordable self-pay options and will walk you through the costs before you start care—no surprises.

  • Is chiropractic care safe?

Yes, chiropractic care is safe when provided by a licensed professional. Our doctors are board certified and perform a thorough examination before beginning any treatment. We use a treatment plan that is specifically tailored to you.

  • Do adjustments hurts?

Most people feel relief, not pain. There may be a “pop” sound but that’s totally normal and similar to the sound of you cracking your knuckles.

  • What conditions can chiropractic care help with?

At MVP Chiropractic, we treat anything from neck pain to plantar fasciitis. Common conditions include low back pain, shoulder pain, headaches, sciatica, posture issues, and many more.

  • How often will I need to come in?

At MVP Chiropractic we focus on patient-centered care, meaning each treatment plan is tailored to you specifically. Some treatments require 2-4 weeks of care, while others may resolve quicker. Alternatively, some chronic or severe conditions may require several weeks or even months to resolve. Our chiropractors, Dr. Brandon Bird & Dr. Kaleb Vig, will decide what is clinically indicated based on your specific condition as to how many visits we think you’ll need to resolve your condition.

  • Can kids and pregnant women get adjusted?

Absolutely. Our adjustment techniques are diversified, meaning we have a variety of ways to treat your specific needs. Kids do not get adjusted in the same way adults do. The technique used for children is much more gentle and we may use an activator (a gentle low velocity tool) rather than standard chiropractic manipulation. We also have a chiropractic table designed to contour to women who are pregnant, which still allows them to lie prone (face-down) while receiving chiropractic care.

  • Do you give home exercises or stretches?

Yes! We love giving our patients homework! To facilitate your chiropractic care, we include multiple stretches and/or exercises to work on before your next visit. The goal is to allow better range of motion in your joints and increase muscle stability and strength. We want you to take an active approach in your treatment and the results speak for themselves.

  • Should I keep coming if I feel fine?

This is up to you. Some patients come in when something hurts, while others use chiropractic care as long-term care for chronic conditions. Several people enjoy coming in once a month or every couple of weeks to stay on top of their spinal health by getting a “tune up” as part of their overall health. The choice is always yours, and you will never feel pressured from any of our providers.
