Relief for Posture Related Neck & Back Pain

If you sit at a desk all day and struggle with neck pain, mid back pain, low back pain, headaches, or sciatica, poor posture may be the root cause. Dr. Vig & Dr. Bird specialize in diagnosing and treating posture-related pain caused by prolonged sitting, poor ergonomics, and postural muscle tension.

The MVP Posture Program is designed to relieve postural stress by dealing with 2 common conditions: Upper Cross Syndrome and Lower Cross Syndrome.

Posture pain from sitting or rounded shoulders

Upper Cross Syndrome - defined by two postural positions 

  • Forward head posture - when you carry your head too far forward

  • Rounded shoulders - when your shoulder blades are pulled away from your spine and your shoulders round forward

Common Conditions Associated with UCS

  • Neck pain

  • Shoulder pain

  • Headaches

  • Mid back pain

  • Shooting pain, numbness, tingling into the arms and hands

  • Rotator cuff issues

  • Stiff, tight, achy or sore muscles

Low back pain from poor posture

Lower Cross Syndrome - tilting forward of the pelvis  

This typically happens when we sit all day and our hip flexor and low back muscles become tight and short and our glutes and abdominal muscles become weak.

  • Low back pain

  • Hip pain & hip impingement

  • Sciatica

  • Sacroiliac (SI joint) pain
